Elizabeth Powell will be in Europe for most of 2008, principally France and the U.K. Her itinerary also includes Los Angeles, New York, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Among her other professional activities, she will be meeting fellow musicians who share her concern to discuss the rise she sees in the number of young talents that, in the existing régime, do not find the fair place they should take and drift into work, within the profession, but ill-matched to their aspirations, abilities and qualifications or out of music altogether. Her students will benefit from any practical ideas to stem the drift that come from her discussions.
